About

MyResourceAccess covers eligibility. That means who qualifies for a specific federal or state program, what the program actually pays or covers, and what gets an application denied.

Each article is built around one program, such as Medicaid expansion, LIHEAP, TANF, Section 8, federal student loan forgiveness tracks.

We also make sure to write about the income limits, household-size thresholds, and document requirements are traced to the agency that runs it.

Who publishes this site

MyResourceAccess is published by Bright Horizons Media, a media company based in the United States. The website is written by MyResourceAccess’s editorial team rather than a single named columnist.

We disclose the publisher because readers making decisions about benefits and coverage deserve to know who’s accountable for what they’re reading.

The site is supported in part by advertising and affiliate partnerships, disclosed on any article where one applies.

How an eligibility article gets written

  • Every dollar figure, income limit, and household-size threshold is pulled from the agency that administers the program. We do not make a search-result summary nor carry anything over from a prior year’s draft. When eligibility varies by state, someone on the team checks the specific state’s current rule.
  • Every article requires at least two inline links to a primary source. We ran a full pass across the site’s back catalog in August 2026 to bring this up to standard. 85 of 107 published articles needed at least one additional verified citation, and all 85 were fixed and re-checked against the live agency pages.
  • A second editor checks every draft for plain-language translation before it publishes. This means every acronym and income threshold gets one sentence explaining what it means for a real household.

Why there’s no team photo on this page

We’d rather leave this without a photo than publish a stock image labeled “our team,” which looks fine and means nothing.

If you want to flag an error, ask where a number came from or tell us a program’s rule have changed, feel free to reach us. The contact page reaches the people responsible for the articles directly. You can also read more about how the team works on the editorial team page.

What this site is not

MyResourceAccess is not a benefits administrator. Nothing here is a substitute for a determination from the agency handling your specific case.

We explain what a program generally requires and what it generally pays, sourced to the agency that runs it. We don’t file applications on your behalf and we don’t guarantee an outcome.
